Our lab is housed in room 132 Barker Hall. We are located on the main UC-Berkeley campus’ northwest end, at the corner of Oxford St. and Berkeley Way. There is a set of big concrete stairs that you will walk up from Oxford Street, and then Barker Hall is on your left. You should go in the second entrance, which opens into a reception area with a couch to the left and a desk in front. We are the third door on your right (the last door before you hit the double doors that take you out into the hallway). Please call the lab if you need additional directions, or if the front door of the building is locked. (510) 642-5554
BART (green on the map): If you’re coming from the BART, exit at the Downtown Berkeley station on Center St. Take Center St. towards campus. You will be on Center for two blocks, then take a left on Oxford St., which is the western border of campus. Take Oxford for two blocks, until you cross Berkeley Way (if you are on the campus side of the street, you will cross the entrance to an underground parking garage). Barker Hall is right there on that corner, up the big flight of concrete stairs (there’s a coffee shop named Yali’s on the corner of Oxford and Berkeley Way – the steps are on the other side of Oxford). Go up the flight of stairs and Barker Hall is there on your left. Use the second entrance (it says “Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute” on the door).
Parking:
1. There is two-hour meter parking on Oxford Street.
2. University Hall (U/Hall) West Lot: Addison Street @ Oxford Street. This lot has hourly parking at all times. This lot is outlined on the parking map.
3. Parking garage on Center Street, in between Shattuck Avenue and Milvia St. The address for that parking garage is 2025 Center St.
4. There is sometimes parking along on the side streets off Hearst ( i.e. Spruce, Arch, LeConte).
